Museum “Mille voci…mille suoni” takes up 722 sq. yds. Inside you can find over 1300 original and working items which tell the story of audiovisual communication.

The first exhibits show the beginning and the evolution of radio in a scientific and chronological way (with antique electrostatics and electrodynamics instruments).

MARCONI’S HALL:
This room is dedicated to Guglielmo Marconi and it exhibits rare, original pieces and keepsakes that belonged to Marconi himself. Marconi’s daughter, Princess Electra wrote: “Here my father lives again”, upon visiting the museum and the hall dedicated to her father: a unique exhibit!


HISTORY OF RADIO
: an enchanting journey from the forerunners of Marconi to nowadays.

HISTORY OF MECHANIZED MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS OF 1700 -1800: organs, music boxes, pianolas, pianos, etc,

HISTORY OF CINEMA: from the beginnings of cinema with the magic lantern of mid-1800’s to “animated photography” of the Lumière Brothers in 1895 to the first silent motion picture projector of 20’s, the sound projectors of the 30’s, cinematography and 35mm and 70mm.

MARCONI'S HALL: an exhibit of numerous rare and original pieces and keepsakes that belonged to Marconi: Marconi as a scientist, Marconi as a trader. Marconi’s daughter, Princess Electra wrote “Here my father lives again” when she visited the museum and the hall dedicated to her father.

DUCATI HALL: an exhibit of civil and military radio sets, cameras, precise mechanical instruments, engines and motorcycles, research documents. All this rarity shows the genius of the Ducati Brothers: Adriano, Marcello and Bruno, that since 1924 has spread from Bologna throughout the world.

HISTORY OF TELEVISION: from Baird’s Televisor (1925-1928) to the first black and white television with reflected images from 1954 to the first Italian TV (1954), to the first experimental colour television with a round screen, the “Lascia o Raddoppia” quiz show, etc...

HISTORY OF TELEPHONES: from Meucci’s first telephone in 1871, to the wooden telephones with handles from the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries; telephones from the 20th century to the first “satellites” from the 70’s, etc.

HISTORY OF COMPUTERS: from Quintino Sella’s slide rule (1850) to the first keyboard with a memory unit from the late 70’s, to mechanical calculators with “extensive keyboards” from the 30’s - 40’s) and the first PCs...

JUKE BOXES: the colorful music of the fifties, with over 8,000 songs, 1,000 romance, 1,000 famous songs ready to choose and listen to

SOUND RECORDING : magnetophones with steel thread , recorders, etc..

HISTORY OF ITALIAN AND NEAPOLITAN SONGS: famous singers, more than 20, 000 original LP recordings, history of Italian opera with 1500 famous voices and songs, rare orchestras, etc...

LIBRARY: an important collection of rare books, old magazines, prints, stamp collections, coins and medals related to the museum.

VIDEO LIBRARY AND FILM LIBRARY: a large movie collection, 35-16-8 film format and vhs, posters, etc
